Dozens of kids attended a recent event where they learned about colors and the various emotions associated with colors.
The Eufaula Memorial Library sponsored the event, which took place on June 4 at the Eufaula Elementary School gym. Employees of the Science Museum of Oklahoma talked to the youngsters and volunteers and employees of the library guided them through various activities during the morning.
“They are learning about colors associated with our emotions, about associated memories with colors,” said Librarian Tatum Shelton. “They are making color association artwork with pieces of paper and some scissors and then they are doing an obstacle course with the Science Museum of Oklahoma.”
About 150 young people participated in the event.
