Marston, D.D.; Reverend Sir: The undersigned missionaries, superintendents and teachers of Mission schools, having heard with alarm that the War Department claims the prerogative of legalizing thr sale of intoxicatinh liquors in this Territory, and recently has licensed the traffic in a number of places, greatly to the increase of drunkenness, poverty destitute homes, sudden deaths and murders, most respectfully ask the department, which you have the honor to represent to revoke these licenses and forbid this trade.
