LIBRARY NEWS
By AMANDA GRANTHAM BRANCH MANAGER

Spring has arrived, and the warmer weather is here. It’s a great time to visit our storywalk at Eufaula Cove. Take a walk along the water’s edge and read the story! After you have read the story, visit the library and tell one of our friendly staff members the secret word to receive a prize. The storywalk is maintained by the Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library. We are grateful for their support.

We have Storytime every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sto-rytime is for ages 0-5. They will have a book read to them and do a craft or activity. This provides children with social interaction with others and prepares them for school. Join us for the fun!

On Friday, April 18, at 3:30 p.m., teens can participate in our egg drop challenge. They will enjoy creating a way not to break their egg when it is dropped from a ladder. This is a free program, and all the materials will be provided.

Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. book club for adults meets to discuss the book Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. You can pick up a copy at the front desk. It is also available on the Hoopla app. Don’t have a chance to read the book? You are still invited to come for a good discussion, a light snack, and get a copy of the next book.

The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) are looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. The next meeting is Friday, April 18, at 1:00 pm. Local author Courtney Clark will share about her book My Journey to Widowhood: From Grief to Grace. Contact President Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail. com to join.

Please visit and follow us on Facebook or visit our website at eols.org/ eufaula for other events and activities.

Amanda Grantham is the branch manager of Eufaula Memorial Library, a branch of the Eastern Oklahoma Library System.
