Eufaula Area Arts Continues to inspire through inclusive art projects
By GLENNA MCBRIDE FOUNDING DIRECTOR EUFAULAAREAARTS.ORG

The Eufaula Area Arts Council (EAAC) is proud to reflect on another impactful year of community arts programming and outreach.

As we move forward into a promising 2025, we invite the public to renew their memberships or make a donation in support of our mission: providing access to the arts for “all,” regardless of economic or social status.

Since it’s founding in 1998, the heart of EAAC’s work has centered on Eufaula’s summer arts initiatives. We are thrilled to announce Eufaula Summer Arts 2025, a twoweek arts experience taking place June 2–12, Monday through Thursday, at Eufaula Elementary during Beacon.

This program offers private morning classes and collaborative afternoon activities with Beacon students. Hardship scholarships are available. Flyers and enrollment forms are now available at the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce at 301 North Main.

Continuing our commitment to youth engagement, we celebrate the growing success of the Eufaula Performing and Arts Club, established in November 2022 as a post-pandemic outlet for creativity and expression.

Open to all students in grades 5–12, the club has exceptional experiences for small town Oklahoma, with highlights including:

• A sold-out original zombie-themed performance at the Eufaula VFW

• Attending opera and musical theater productions in Eufaula, Henryetta and Tulsa

• Hosting a Halloween-themed dance at the Eufaula fairgrounds

• Participating in the Eufaula Christmas Parade

• Creating and performing “The Greatest Showcase” at the Eufaula High School auditorium The club also holds monthly rehearsals and theater workshops at Trinity Episcopal Church, fostering continuous skill-building and community connections.

EAAC also proudly contributed to Eufaula’s Heritage Days this past April, including painting classes that supported our Senior Scholarship Program. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior pursuing a traditional college degree, reinforcing our belief in lifelong learning through the arts.

We remain a 100% volunteer-run organization, ensuring that memberships and every dollar donated goes directly to programming. While we receive partial funding through grants, many of these require a 50% match in local contributions— making community support absolutely vital to our sustainability and growth.

Yearly membership and donation opportunities are available at various levels, starting at $25 for an individual and family at $50. Business memberships range from $100 to $500 and major gifts are welcomed and celebrated.

To become a member or make a donation, please contact us today and be a part of bringing creativity, education, and joy to Eufaula. Contribute online at www.eufaulaareaarts. org through PayPal or to P.O. Box 542, Eufaula 74432. Inquiries about summer arts or other art questions can be made at info@eufaulaareaarts. org or text at 918-6171689.

Together, we can keep the arts alive and thriving in our small Oklahoma community.
