Eufaula siblings Rylee and Cody McNeill shine in Heartland Conference Golf tournament

A pair of Eufaula siblings shined at the Heartland Conference Golf Tournament in Henryetta on Thursday as Rylee McNeill placed first in the girls division and her brother Cody McNeill placed second in the boys division.

Golfers battled the inclem- ent weather throughout the day as strong winds and rain saturated the golf course.

Rylee McNeill led the team and division with a score of 93. The Eufaula Lady Ironheads were very competitive with a total score of 402 as Jadence Efurd was third overall with 96, Gracie Burke 8th overall with a 106 followed by teammate Eula Chapman 9th with 107. McKinley Rea shot a 132 and Claudia McDaniel shot 110.

Henryetta won the event with a total score of 397.

In the boys’ division Eufaula was led by Cody McNeill with a score of 82 followed by Payden Lanham 5th place overall with a score of 94, Kylar Chiles 6th place with 97, Jax Hickman 8th place with 100 and Ayson Lanham shot a 113 for a team total of 373.

Henryetta won the top team spot with a score of 355.
