In keeping with Eufaula Memorial Library’s recent success with a fund-raising bingo, the upcoming luncheon of the Friends of the Library will feature a musical Christmas bingo.
Unlike the expensive prizes that lured Bingo players to the fundraiser, prizes for knowing the names of the most holiday songs will be minimal—possibly edible and small enough to consume on the spot.
The spirit of the season will be in full swing at the 11:30 a.m. event on Friday, December 20, when $6 lunches will be provided by Friends’ board members: Kate Quinn, Robyn Burris, Carol Thrasher, Lenore Bechtel and Gail Rose.
Members are encouraged to wear Christmas attire and take their pictures in front of the beautiful backdrop on display in the Follanbee Room where the luncheon will be served.
The Friends’ luncheons are always open to the public—reservations not necessary. All attending will have an opportunity to join the Friends ($5 yearly dues) which supports many library programs. To join or volunteer, contact FEML@gmail. com or call Gail Rose, the Friends’ president, at 918-770-2440.
