Basketball season is here

The 2024-25 high school basketball season is here. The Eufaula Ironheads kicked off the season Tuesday as they hosted Beggs. The Ironheads will head to Morris on Friday to take on the Eagles. Eufaula will then travel to Henryetta December 10, at Bethel December 12-14, at Preston December 17 and will host Poteau on December 19 to get things started.

The Checotah Wildcats will start their season on the road for the first eight games. The first will take place on December 10 at Poteau followed by the competing in the Haskell Tournament December 12-14, at Stilwell December 17 and at Eufaula January 3. The Wildcats will travel to Henryetta for tournament action January 9-11, Sallisaw January 14 and at Muldrow January 17 then they will play in-county rival Eufaula January 21.
