Treasure chest found

On the shores of Lake Eufaula, a weathered treasure chest has been found.

Rumor has it that the chest is filled with $1,000 worth of cash and prizes.

There is only one problem, the chest and its contents are locked up tight.

The Indian Journal needs your help finding the key.

Starting next week, shoppers can get keys at participating businesses and earn the chance to open the lock.

In the Oct. 10 Indian Journal, there will be a treasure map, leading to participating businesses that could hold the key to the missing treasure.

Keys can be collected starting Oct. 11 by visiting those participating businesses.

Each business will have its own promotions to obtain a key.

No purchase is necessary for the first key if you come by the Indian Journal office at 100 2nd Street, Eufaula. Readers can obtain one free key.

Only one pirate will open the chest and win the loot.

Happy Hunting.

HOW TO PLAY!

1. Shop local at participating businesses starting Oct. 11.

2. Collect keys. 3. On Oct. 18, come to the Indian Journal to try your keys. The promotion will go weekly until the key is found or by Oct. 31.

4. The first person to open the chest wins the loot.

Treasure Chest Contest Official Rules No purchase is necessary! Come by our office at 100 2nd Street, Eufaula to request and receive a key* or visit the participating businesses and shop to get addisoutheast tional keys*.

(Participating businesses will distribute keys based on their own individual promotions.)

Keys can be collected starting on Oct. 11 by visiting participating businesses.

Beginning on Oct. 18 you may try your keys in our Treasure Chest lock.

If the lock has not been opened by 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, we will draw from the list of nonwinning key holders.

Contestants must be 18 years or older to play.

Cookson Hills Publishing employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. Participating sponsors are only eligible to win if keys are collected from other businesses.

The Indian Journal assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries sustained by contest participants.

Participants are urged to use good sportsmanship and well-mannered conduct.

Violators may be disqualified and forfeit any claim to the prize.

All applicable rules, laws and regulations must be followed.

Chances of winning depends on the total number of keys distributed. A winner is guaranteed, because if the lock is not opened by a winning key during the promotion, a winner will be drawn from the secondchance drawing entries. *While supplies last.
