Want to join our nation’s new groundswell of faith?

How gratifying it is to see the groundswell of faith that’s rising throughout our country in young 20-something Gen Z Christians! It started at Asbury University in Kentucky. Last February about a hundred students stayed after their regular chapel service— singing, praying, speaking scripture, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. Their fervor grew and grew until sixteen days later, tens of thousands of people had traveled to their tiny town to witness what God does in regular, everyday faith-filled believers who want Him to move mightily!

Revival then spread to Lee University in Tennessee and Cedarville University in Ohio, Then Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Texas A&M, and several others. Massive baptisms from coast to coast still continue in 2024—all started by college students whose small religious spark grew into an absolute wildfire of spirituality!

I absolutely trust that God is about to do more of His mighty work through His people in Eufaula. I’m asking all to be ready—obediently— for what God wants. Be ready for revival.

Our country needs revival, just as Israel did when Samuel arrived on the scene determined to follow God and help the nation be saved. Both politically and religiously, the people of Israel were weak and falter-ing— suffering from many years of corrupt priests and judges—and threatened by the Philistines.

“Then Samuel said to all the people of Israel, ‘If you want to return to the Lord with all your hearts, get rid of your foreign gods and your images of Ashtoreth. Turn your hearts to the Lord and obey him alone; then he will rescue you from the Philistines.’” (1 Samuel 7:3) They repented, fasted, confessed they had sinned against the Lord, and begged Samuel to keep praying for the Lord to save them. Samuel did, and just as he was about to sacrifice a young lamb as a burnt offering, “the Philistines arrived to attack Israel. But the Lord spoke with a mighty voice of thunder from heaven that day, and the Philistines were thrown into such confusion that the Israelites defeated them.” (1Samuel 7;10) This Biblical story shows us the three requirements for true revival— requirements that we as a nation need to embrace. First, revival requires sincere repentance, which is more than simply feeling sorry for our sins. It’s not when we cry. It’s when we change. The repentance had to be inward (with all your hearts) and outward (put away the foreign gods and idols).

Second, revival requires sacrificial commitment. Sacrifice prepares our hearts to humbly hear God and to receive His touch. We need to give up our false gods—anything we put above Him—no longer idols of wood or stone, but money, porn, our phones, or celebrities doing provocative dances while singing anti-Jesus lyrics. What is it that we make an idol in our lives? Whatever it is, ask God to help you defeat it, so that you can have the commitment to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Third, revival requires significant action. We need to move out in faith and claim the victory God wants for us. We at LECC echo the sentiment expressed in Psalm 85:6: “Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness!” Walk in victory. Live your life following Jesus, making Him the most important aspect of your life as you trust Him for your salvation.

Want to be revived? If so, join us at 415987 Highway 9, Eufaula, where we have small group Bible study at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and Wednesday night all-age activities at 6:30 p.m. Don’t stay stuck in a period of spiritual neglect. Find Jesus, a family, personal revival today.

God Bless You!
