Eufaula Lady Ironheads golf team punch ticket to State

The 2024 Eufaula Lady Ironhead golf team continues the long tradition of producing great golfers and making the state tournament. Wednesday was no different as the Lady Ironheads punched their ticket to the state tournament with a second place finish in the OSSAA 3A Regional Tournament.

Lone Grove won the tournament with a score of 349, Eufaula second with 370 and Heritage Hall rounded out the top three with a score of 380.

“I’m so proud of this team. They have really applied themselves and put in the time on the golf course to get better. We have a solid chance at finishing among the top teams and were looking forward to the challenge. I especially want to thank coach Bill Bumgarner and Richard Belcher for their help this season. Their hard work does not go unnoticed,” Eufaula head golf coach Jerad Efurd said.

In Individual scores Gabriella Gross of Heritage Hall was the top golfer with a score of 80.

In second place was Allie Townley of Lone Grove with 81, Stella Caskey of Tishomingo was third with 82, Rylee Mcneill of Eufaula was tied for fourth place with a score of 84 and Grade-Jane Lasiter of Eufaula placed sixth with a score of 85.

Eufaula Individual Scores; 15th place Rhyatt Dunn 85 42nd (Tied) Gracie Burke 107 42nd (Tied) Jadence Efurd 107 Eufaula was ranked No.32 in the entire state prior to the state tournament. Eufaula has won the State Championship and was runner-up twice. Coaches Jerad Efurd and Bill Bumgarner have played key roles in the success of the golf program.

Eufaula traveled to Oklahoma City to Lincoln Park East Golf Club Monday and Tuesday for the State Tournament.
