The Checotah Lady Wildcats (12-11) started the Checotah festival on Thursday against incounty rival and No.15 ranked Eufaula Lady Ironheads (16-6-1). It was not a great day for hitting a long ball as 40 mph wind gusts stopped several balls from going over the fence. It started out a great battle as both teams played great defense and held one another scoreless for the first three innings. Cbecotah would put a run on the board when-Shyanne Madewell hit a great shot. But Eufaula would answer when Gabby Noreiga lined out, to help the Lady Ironheads tie the game at 1-1.
