A person’s Christian identity explains who that person is and what they become when they receive Christ. It means more than I can answer in one article so I will be spreading it out over the next few weeks.

First our Christian identity tells us that we are a new Creation.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17 As a Believer God begins the work of recreating you. God does not fix our brokenness, he replaces it with wholeness. A favorite saying of mine is,”God does make bad people good, he makes dead people live.” We are transformed from death to life. We are a new creation!

A new creation has four elements. Grace- we cannot be transformed by our own strength.

Amazement – Consider that God offer this grace to us freely – that is amazing!

Submission – we must decrease so that He may increase.

Trust – to become a new creation you must place your trust in God.
