Church members surprise minister with new book

A local minister was surprised last week by church members who thought his sermons were too good to be shared only with members. Jeremy Little had no idea that an assortment of his sermon condensations were now in book form and available on Amazon.com.

The online blurb about his summer 2023 series called Roadtrips With God says “condensations of sermons by the minister who turned a dying church into a thriving one.”

Jeremy Little is the minister for Lake Eufaula Christian Church, where he started his ministry the week churches shut down for COVID.

Despite such an unpromising beginning, church attendance increased ninety percent his first year, and growth continues to fill the sanctuary on 415987 Highway 9, Eufaula.

The book was published by Write-On Creations, the imprint belonging to local writer and LECC member Lenore Bechtel.

The book’s chapters were previously published on the Indian Journal’s Eufaula Area Devotional page.

“Jeremy has a Godgiven talent for taking the scripture and making it relevant today,” said Ed Rodebush, LECC Trustee. ‘God’s gift of love shows in every sermon he delivers.”

Bill Chaffin, LECC Trustee, said, “Jeremy’s sermons are an extension of his life—a sincere desire to have a loving, caring concern for the souls in his church and the community in which he serves.”

LECC Elder Stacey Helms said, “His sermons are always scripture-based and inspired by the Holy Spirit. While he is an ‘old soul,’ he knows how to relate to young, old, and all ages in between.”

LECC Security Chief Clint Walker said, “I appreciate how Jeremy relies on the scripture in his memorable sermons. He puts his heart into delivering God’s word, and I’m very grateful how he’s helped our once dying church to thrive.”

His sermons can be seen live on YouTube every Sunday at 11 a.m. and the book can be found on amazon. com by entering a search for his name.
