The Checotah Wildcats ran into an offensive buzzsaw in Madill in a 51-24 loss at Checotah. The Wildcats had to play physically against a much larger post player in Ethan Wilkerson (6’5”). Madill led 22-13 at halftime. The Wildcats struggled in the paint with R.J. Womack taking most of the heat in the paint. The Wildcats had five players score in the game with Womack leading the Wildcats with ten points. Wilkerson was a beast throughout the game where he led all scorers with 20 points. Madill outscored Checotah 29-11 in the second half to seal the victory.
The Wildcats fought from above the arch where Madill’s Brylan James and Greg Padget each scored nine points in the game.
Hudson Pollard scored four points, Tyler Orman five and Elijah Thomas had three points in the loss.
On Friday The Wildcats lost to Dewey 6355. Dewey jumped out with a 21-8 first period as they scored from everywhere on the court. Elijah Thomas had a big game for the Wildcats with 19 points. Dewey was efficient and smart with the ball as they set up offensive plays. Checotah trailed 33-13 at halftime and failed to recover. R.J. Womack, Hudson Pollard, Cooper Cutbirth each scored six points and Tyler Orman had 11 points in the loss.
