Jones named to Class 3 A East All-Star Football team

Checotah senior quarterback Jacob Jones was named to the Class 3A East All-Star Football team by the Oklahoma Coaches Association. Jones was 152-of-232 passing for 2,317 yards with an impressive 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Jones also ran the ball 49 times for 132 yards and a touchdown.

He was also named the 2023 McIntosh County Democrat Co-Offensive Player of the Year. Jones helped to lead the Wildcats to a 7-4 overall record and the first playoff appearance in three years.
