Porum resident Tylor Joseph Crain, 37, waived a preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty to multiple charges at his court hearing on Jan. 17.
Charges included bail jumping, assault and battery on a police officer, obstructing an officer, resisting an officer, escape from arrest or detention, falsely personating another to create liability and child neglect, among others.
Associate District Judge Brendon Bridges handed Crain lengthy prison terms on multiple charges but suspended all of the sentences pending the successful serving of one year in an in-patient rehab center.
The suspended sentences included 10 years on the assault charge; 10 years on the child neglect, 10 years and one year each on the obstruction, escape and resisting arrest charges.
If Crain fails to complete treatment, he is subject to having the suspended sentences revoked.
