The Eufaula Memorial Library will have a “Share Your Love Story” contest in February, highlighting a month associated with romance.
“We are asking for adults to submit their love story— how you and your love met or a story of importance to you about love,” said Branch Manager Amanda Grantham.
Submissions will be accepted from Feb. 1 until Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.
You can drop off a paper copy of your story at the library or you can email a copy to eufaulapl@eols.org with the subject line “Share Your Love Story.”
All submissions must include your name, phone number and email address.
The winning story will be published in the Indian Journal. Submissions need to be no more than 300 words and can be submitted one of two ways.
The winner also will receive a date night basket to share with their love.
Items in the basket will include a romantic movie and snacks.
Volunteers from the community will judge the contest.
The library staff would like to thank the City of Eufaula for salting the library sidewalks during the snow last week.
“We appreciate them keeping the sidewalks clean and safe for our patrons as well as us as we enter the building,” Grantham said.
The staff also thanks the Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) for their financial support and active participation in building these kinds of programs.
FEML is looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library.
Their next monthly program luncheon is 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26. Contact President Gail Rose at member. FEML@gmail.com to join.
Please visit and follow the library on Facebook or visit its website at eols.org/eufaula for other events and activities.
