DEATH NOTICES

CHECOTAH – Robyn Kristyann Thompson (Carr), 53, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK, with her family lovingly by her side. Visitation was held Friday, December 29, 2023, at Hunn Funeral Home in Checotah, OK.

HENRYETTA – Donald Jackson McCullar, 76, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023, in Dewey, Oklahoma. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Riveted Church, in Skiatook, OK.

PIERCE – Authur DeBouse Jr., 83, former resident of the Pierce area, passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2023. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11a.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, located at 2140 N. Kelley Ave. He will be buried on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Ft. Gibson Military Cemetery at 1 p.m.

COUNCIL HILL – Michael Jack Owen, 46, passed away on December 23, 2023, in Okmulgee, OK. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Old Midway High School Gymnasium in Council Hill.

CHECOTAH – Ronald Beaver, 88, passed away on December 25, 2023, at Cornerstone Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Checotah.

PORUM – Raymond D. Bailey, 61, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023. A memorial service is planned for January 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Porum High School Gymnasium.

CHECOTAH – Mason Eugene Jones, 23, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, in Grady County, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Services celebrating the life of Mason will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the Serenity Chapel of Garrett Family Funeral Home in Checotah, Oklahoma.

CHECOTAH – Bob Vinson, 88, lifetime McIntosh County resident, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his Checotah home. Services pending at this time.
