Joshua Duane Butler, 38, of Wetumka, pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges at his district court arraignment in Eufaula on Dec. 20.
Butler was bound over for trial following a preliminary hearing Nov. 14.

Originally, in August, Butler was charged with nine crimes, including kidnapping his brother, running a roadblock and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance including possession with intent to distribute.
At the Nov. 14 hearing those three charges were dismissed, leaving Butler to face six additional felonies, including possession of a firearm during a commission of a felony; endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police; one count of running a roadblock; battery/assault and battery on a police officer; possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction; and possession of a sawed-off shotgun/rifle.
Butler was arrested on Aug. 22 following a high-speed chase with deputy sheriffs that reached 100 miles an hour.
