Eufaula FF A receives
The Eufaula FFA has received a $4,816 Classroom Enhancement grant from the Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation administered by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
The grant will be used to assist in funding the Aquaponic grow system.
“We are so pleased to have received this grant and appreciate the support of the Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation,” said high school Principal Heather Combs.
“The grant will allow us the opportunity to purchase the Aquaponic grow system.”
The system will have a large tank to hold fish and two connecting grow bins for vegetables and other plants. Students will have the opportunity to see how plants are grown using the Aquaponics system.
About the Foundation The Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation was established in 1995 by the late Carolyn Watson, CEO and chairman of Shamrock Bank, N.A., to improve the quality of life in rural Oklahoma communities.
