Friday Night Lights Round-Up
By CLASS 4A WAGONER 30, TUTTLE 0 ?,

Wagoner leaned heavily on its rushing attack as the Bulldogs finished with 244 yards on 39 attempts to secure its 20th straight win and move on to the semifinals. The Bulldogs (12-0) got on the board first in the second quarter via a 27-yard run from Trenton Edwards with 7:28 remaining in the half. After halftime, Kale Charboneau found Trenton Edwards for a 28-yard scoring toss to go up 14-0 in the third. Logan Bloxson added a 23-yard field goal, Bryce Steele had a one-yard touchdown run and DeJay Pierce closed out the game with a 22-yard scamper with 2:17 left. Charboneau finished 9-of-16 for 107 yards through the air with an interception, while also rushing for 118 yards on 20 carries. Trenton Edwards added 54 yards on the ground and Witt Edwards led all receivers with four catches for 35 yards. He also had an interception on defense while University of Oklahoma commit Alex Shieldnight recorded a quarterback sack and caught one pass for 20 yards.

SECOND ROUND CLASS A

STROUD 54, GORE 6 — Gore found itself down 13-0 early in the first quarter, but a 45yard touchdown pass from Tate Brooksher to Journey Shells cut the deficit to one score. That was as close as the Pirates (9-3) would come as Stroud pushed its lead to 29-6 at the half to end Gore’s season.

CLASS B

WELEETKA 64 , WEBBERS FALLS 18 — Maddux Shelby gave a heroic effort in leading Webbers Falls but it just was not to be as the Warriors finished the year at 9-3. Offensively, Shelby rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns on 24 totes, while on defense he ended with eight tackles and an interception.
