Q and A with Pastor J.
Change is difficult. We tend to resist it in ourselves, but demand it in others. If you are dissatisfied with who you are now and you want to change, you are making the first steps. However, it is important to know exactly how and what you want to become.
Jesus talked about this in Matthew 18, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “
1)Reject the status quo. You don’t have to be like everyone else to please God. God wants to you be more like Christ.
2) Avoid the trap of consensus. Don’t worry about what everyone else thinks. Concern yourself with what God has said and follow Him.
3) Dodge the bullet of complacency. When you get to a smooth patch in your life – keep going. We can never stop on our faith journey.
4) Withstand the tyranny of the inevitable. Things can be different, you can change. You are not stuck or trapped. God wants to help you break free of what you expect and show you what only He can do.
