A 55-year-old Ft. Smith, Ark., woman died after suffering chest pains while boating on Lake Eufaula Saturday, June 3, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Sonya McCrea was a passenger in a 2014 Godfrey Tritoon boat that was trolling the water checking jugs near #9 south camping grounds approximately eight miles east and four miles north of Canadian in Pittsburg County.
The OHP report said that at about 5 p.m. McCrea complained of chest pains and then collapsed.
The driver of the vessel was identified as Ryan David Williams, 37, of Ft. Smith.
Williams pulled to the shore at #9 south camping area while several passengers on the vessel attempted CPR.
In addition to McCrea, there were three adult passengers and three juveniles.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Pafford EMS.
