Q & A with Pastor J.
We all know that time is meaningless to God, but it means a lot to us. God does seem to work on His time. I know that it be trial to wait on an answer. I researched the scriptures and come up with some ideas that I think can help.
1) Delay is not denial. When God takes His time it is an opportunity for you to trust. Waiting for God is not laziness. Waiting for God is not going to sleep. Waiting for God is not the abandonment of effort. Waiting for God means, first, activity under command; second, readiness for any new command that may come; third, the ability to do nothing until the command is given. – G.C. Morgan 2) Do not mistake a delay for abandonment. If so you will fall into the same trap that the Israelites did in Exodus 32:1, “When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.“ 3) Delay is not an opportunity for weak excuses. God answers us, but sometimes the answer is wait. If that is what God calls you to do, then by all means do it. No amount of excuses will justify trying to move ahead of God.
We can trust in the fact that God is moving even when we don’t see Him. God is preparing things for you, take the time to prepare yourself for Him.
