Amber Baker, 40, of Eufaula, was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident that took place on SH 9 east of Fisher Drive in Longtown.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Baker was driving westbound in a 2018 Dodge Journey at about 2:30 p.m. when she was struck head-on by an eastbound propane truck that veered left of center.
The OHP said Baker was pinned in her vehicle for about one hour before being freed by the Longtown Fire Department using emergency equipment.
Kenneth Cash, 57, of Porum, reportedly was the driver of the 2021 Ford F750 truck. He was not injured.
Baker was transported to McAlester Regional Hospital and then transferred to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, where she was admitted in critical condition with head and internal injuries.
