Aug. 8 deadline to request absentee ballot for Aug. 23 runoff primary

Absentee ballots are available to any registered voter provided they are eligible to vote in the election requested, according to McIntosh County Election Board Secretary Janelle McKnight. No excuse is needed to vote by absentee ballot.
