As part of the ongoing state work zone safety campaign “Safety: It’s Not Just About You” and National Work Zone Awareness Week for April 11-15, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority presented a special event Friday, April 15, to honor fallen highway and turnpike workers while emphasizing the need for a partnership with motorists to increase work zone safety statewide.
