No little girl grows up dreaming about her Prince Charming beating her or raping her. I promise you, she never thought that the person she fell in love with and who claimed to love her would ever take advantage of her physically or emotionally. Yet here she is, trembling in a steaming, hot shower halfway dressed - torn, ashamed and unable to process what has just happened to her even though she said no. Why didn’t he stop? Did he not hear her? She screamed it out many times, over and over again. Why did he keep hurting her as she cried for him to stop? As hard as it is to picture this scene, unfortunately it happens every day to some woman, man or child.
