Former Abilene Christian letterman and head basketball coach Joe Golding is in his tenth season as the men’s basketball coach at his alma mater. Golding carries on the high standards that his grandfather Joe “Lester” Golding and his great uncle Joe “Junior” Golding did in Eufaula, Oklahoma with the Ironheads and at the University of Oklahoma and East Texas State in years past. The Golding family came to Oklahoma in 1911 when Joseph G. Golding and his wife Una moved to Eufaula and had four children (Irene, Wanda, Joseph ”Lester” and Joseph “Junior” has made an impact from that point on.
