Remember Jesus’ parable about the king who gave a wedding banquet for his son but all the invited guests refused to attend because they were busy doing other things? The king ordered his servants to round up everyone else they could find in the streets and bring them to the banquet instead. Then the king noticed one of these guests not wearing the customary wedding robe and angrily had him tied up and tossed into the outer darkness (Matthew 22:1-14).
