This past week we celebrated Trinity Sunday, honoring the very nature of God himself – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each of these is a distinct “person” of God, yet together still just one God. Some people explain the Trinity as being like three sides of a triangle or three leaves of a clover, but in the end our human brains are just not capable of understanding this mysterious nature of God. But as C.S. Lewis said, being able to explain the Trinity isn’t the important thing. “The thing that matters is actually being drawn into that life” of the Trinity, Lewis said. What matters most is the relationship we share with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit together.
