“Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ Then I went and washed and received my sight,” reported the blind beggar whom Jesus had healed. The Pharisees were critical of Jesus for healing on the Sabbath – it was considered work and forbidden by Jewish law. As the story unfolds, Jesus describes how the Pharisees were just as blind spiritually as the beggar was blind physically (John 9:1-41).
